Metro Bus has many resources to help find your way, plan your trip and get you where you need to go. All Metro Bus Fixed Routes run on a set route with pre-determined stops and schedules.

View routes on the Metro Bus Smart Ride App. The Smart Ride App trip planner tool identifies fixed routes by estimated arrival time, most affordable trip, number of transfers or minimum walking time to a bus stop. Free for mobile devices.

Fixed Route stops and schedules are available for travel planning on Google Maps. Enter your starting point and destination, then select the Public Transit option.

Detour Affects Route 8

Begins on: Tuesday 3/3/2026 at 6 AM due to University Bridge inspection

Route 8 Outbound – Detour begins at the SCSU Miller Center

  • Right on 5th Av S
  • Right on Division St
  • Right on Wilson Av SE
  • Left on 7th St SE
  • Right on Kilian Blvd
  • Left on University Dr — back on route
    • Some bus stops will not be served during this detour and are indicated with red X’s. No temporary bus stops have been added.
      Beginning Friday July 12, 2024 at 600pm, Route 8 Outbound will be on detour due to road construction. Leaving SCSU, right 5th Ave, right Division St, right Wilson Ave, left 7th St SE, right Killian Ave, left 11th St SE, right 15th Ave SE, left University Dr, resume route.

Routes 8 Inbound – Detour begins at University Dr & Kilian Blvd SE

  • Right on Kilian Blvd SE
  • Left on 7th St SE
  • Right on Wilson Av SE
  • Left on Division St
  • Right on 5th Av S — back on route
    • Some bus stops will not be served during this detour and are indicated with red X’s. No temporary bus stops have been added.
      This detour will start Tuesday March 3rd 2026 at 600 am and last until the bridge inspection is complete. Right on Killian Blvd SE, left on 7th St SE, Right on Wilson Ave SE, Left on Division St, Right on 5th Ave S. No bus stops will be added with this detour.

Detour is expected to last one day.
