Metro Bus announces results of Jolly Trolley Food Drive
The Jolly Trolley rolled to its final stops yesterday delivering 7,400 pounds of food and $1,767 to Catholic Charities Emergency Services, the Promise Neighborhood of Central MN and the St. Cloud Area Salvation Army. For the second year in a row, the Jolly Trolley set a new record for food donations thanks to contributions from employees, the public and the partner companies.
Each December, Metro Bus partners with Townsquare Media, Royal Tire, North Central Bus, SpartanNash and Lunds & Byerlys to help fight food insecurity in our community when it is most urgent. To date, the Jolly Trolley Food Drive has collected and donated $25,293 and 45,220 pounds of food!
It is always great to see the thankfulness of volunteers and employees at the food shelves when the Jolly Trolley pulls up to help replenish their shelves just in time for the holidays. Metro Bus thanks all those whose contributions helped change people’s lives for the better during this year’s Jolly Trolley Food Drive!
