We have an entire department dedicated to the training and development needed for a job in public transportation, starting with new employee onboarding and continuing throughout an employee’s entire career with Metro Bus. Whether it is skill refinement or upskilling we ensure that our workforce is equipped with the necessary tools to do their jobs and gain deeper knowledge and confidence in the following areas:

  • Ongoing Safety Training: Staying current on regulatory changes and safety procedures related to employee health and well-being, workplace safety and public transportation. 
  • Customer Service Training and Support: Regular education boosting our community connection and customer service skills as well as training on specific skills like navigating difficult interactions and de-escalation techniques. 
  • Technology and Equipment Changes and Updates: We focus on embracing change at a pace that works for employees to develop proficiency and reduce stress while transitioning to technological and equipment changes.
  • Professional Development: Each employee has opportunities to improve hard and soft skills through development and training at Metro Bus including education on physical, mental and emotional well-being.
