Metro Bus celebrates Transit Employee Appreciation Day, March 18

Metro Bus employees and staff participating in the 2019 Local Bus Roadeo at SCSU.

This Friday marks the 360th anniversary of the debut of the first public transportation system in Paris, France. The date is now used to recognize transit employees nation-wide for their commitment to serve their communities through the best times and the worst.
Metro Bus asks those who use and/or are appreciative of Fixed Route, Dial-a-Ride, Northstar Link and ConneX services to join us in celebrating Bus Operators and other transit employees serving our Central Minnesota communities. Show your support for transit employees and their commitment to serve by thanking a Bus Operator, messaging a commendation to the Metro Bus Facebook page or giving a shout out on social media.
Metro Bus CEO Ryan Daniel shares what makes this day important to the leadership team at Metro Bus. “I, along with our Board of Commissioners and Executive Team, am so proud of the employees at Metro Bus for their continuous commitment to providing an elite transportation option for Central Minnesotans. The dedication of our frontline employees and support staff to delivering safe, friendly and reliable service to the Cities of St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids, Sartell and Waite Park drives the social and economic well-being of our community. It is truly inspirational to see the way these essential employees come through for each other as well as their families, friends and neighbors on a daily basis!”
