New Director of Finance Appointed

Metro Bus is thrilled to announce the appointment of Nene Israel as the new Director of Finance.
Nene holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and brings over 10 years of extensive experience in the transportation industry. Her previous roles include Accounting Officer at the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Finance Supervisor at Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, and most recently, Finance Director at Duluth Transit Authority. These positions have equipped her with the knowledge and expertise to navigate the complexities of financial management in public transportation, preparing her well for her new role at Metro Bus.
In addition to her professional experience, Nene is actively involved in the transportation sector as a member of COMTO MN, where she has served as Treasurer for over three years. Her commitment to the industry is further exemplified by her recent selection as an Ambassador for the Transportation Cooperative Research Program (TCRP), a role that allows her to contribute to national conversations around transportation innovation and best practices. Nene also serves as a panelist for a TCRP study focused on financial management, where her insights are sought after on a national level.
