Metro Bus Operator headed to the CTAA National Roadeo
By Lisa Sabyan

Metro Bus Dial-a-Ride Operator, David Peacock, is set to showcase award-winning transit operator skills dedicated to safety and careful passenger transport at the 34th National Community Transportation Roadeo, June 1 in San Diego, CA.
This event, hosted by the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA), gathers operators from across the United States to compete for top scores on a written test, passenger assistance exercises, pre-trip inspection and a driving course. Drivers compete in Body on-Chassis (BOC)/Cutaways or 35-foot Fixed-Route divisions. Rankings will be determined by the combined score of all tests.
To advance to this national driving competition, Peacock, took 2nd place at the local 2024 St. Cloud Metro Bus Roadeo which took him to the 2024 Minnesota Public Transit Association (MPTA) state Bus Roadeo in Shakopee where he placed 1st in his division.
Peacock is no stranger to success in bus roadeo competitions. He has been in the top ranks of the local and state roadeo events almost continuously since 2002. This is Peacock’s 3rd trip to the CTAA Roadeo, placing 3rd in Louisville, KY in May 2022 and 15th in West Palm Beach, FL in June 2024.
