Metro Bus wins innovation award

Metro Bus is proud to announce receipt of the TripSpark Ignite 2025 Transit Awards Transit Innovation Award. The Transit Innovation Award recognizes “an agency that has leveraged technology or plans to leverage technology to improve rider satisfaction, attract new and/or recover ridership, and make a difference in the communities it serves.”
In the last decade, Metro Bus invested almost $8 million in technology to provide better customer and employee information, tracking and reporting, and ways to inform customers. Investments include Automatic Passenger Counters, internal payroll and maintenance tracking software, route and scheduling software, real-time displays at the Transit Center, upgrades to existing software and changes to customer platforms. Metro Bus continues to invest in technology to ensure employees and customers have the best experience possible.
