Updated Code of Conduct for customers
In 2017 Metro Bus instituted the Code of Conduct for passengers and customers in order to ensure the best possible experience for riders, the public and employees. The Code of Conduct is an instrumental tool for employees and customers to make sure everyone understands the expectations that come with using public transportation.
To meet new challenges and keep up with changes in how people travel, the Code of Conduct is being updated this year. Notable updates include:
- Adjustments to fare payment enforcement
- Addition regarding acts that disrupt service
- Prohibition of smoking and vaping marijuana or tobacco
- More clarifications about harassing, derogatory or abusive language
- Recommendations section to optimize travel for everyone
Metro Bus customers will see new Code of Conduct signs on buses, at the Transit Center and Mobility Training Center, new Code of Conduct brochures at all touch points, and an updated webpage. Visit ridemetrobus.com/home/code-of-conduct for the full list of rules and recommendations.
